Admission Criteria
Ø You
can directly apply in different airlines which are advertise in national
newspapers and other mass media.
Ø If
you are selected then the airline organizes a screening process in which your
height and weight measurement is checked.
Ø Then
you have to appear for the entrance exam that is conducted by the airline.
Ø After
you clear the examination, a main interview is conducted in which your language
fluency, voice, personality, communication skill, and reaction to adverse
situations is assessed.

The course fee varies from ₹ 1,00,000 to ₹ 1,50,000 per
annum for different institutes.
Careers Prospects
They
can find ample job avenues in public and private sector airlines. With
privatization, foreign collaboration, and open sky policies round the corner,
the future is very bright for aspiring cabin crew. Most airline offices, which
are planning to increase their fleet, have a number of positions open for them.
They can find employment in public careers like Indian Airlines and Air India.
Besides, better job options are also available in privately owned domestic and
international airlines, namely, Sahara Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Jet
Airways, Kingfisher, IndiGo, Spice Jet, etc. Cabin Crew have every chance to be
promoted as senior flight attendant and later as head attendant. However,
profession as cabin crew lasts for just eight to ten years, after that she/he
could move on to ground duties like ground hostess/host and check hostess/host,
train cabin crew, or can work in the management level. The span of their flying
career as symbols of hospitality may tend to be contractual, but experienced cabin
crew are successfully absorbed in alternative careers in travel and tourism,

They
can earn a salary between Rs. 2.5 lakh to 4.5 Lakh per year as a beginner in
the public sector. In Private sector, the salary package is attractive. A Head
flight attendant is paid as per their experience. They can earn approximately ₹
6 Lakh per annum. The Cabin Crew member working with the International airlines,
can get salary in between ₹ 9 lakh to ₹ 10 lakh per year. Some airlines offer
an extra salary for working on off days.
