Career Prospects
Opportunity in AI, predicting that within the next two to three years, AI "will create more jobs than it eliminates." The consultancy even pegs some actual numbers to its prediction: 2.3 million jobs created by 2020, versus 1.8 million lost. The industries that will see the most gains are healthcare, the public sector and education, while manufacturing will see some job losses due to AI.

According to Indeed, employers demand for AI talents has more than doubled over the past three years and the number of job postings as a share of all job postings has increased by 119 percent.

Income
Accordingly, the average salary of AI professionals in India across industries is quite attractive. A 2-4 years experience commands a salary of ₹ 15 - ₹20 lacs per annum, while for 4-8 years it is ₹ 20 - ₹ 50 lacs per annum and for 8-15 years it is ₹ 50 lacs - ₹  1 crore per annum.
